The Epilogue

Oct. 11, 2011 - June 30,2014

OOC Notes

It's been real. Seriously. RP provided me with much needed entertainment when I was younger and more bored but the time spent here taught me a lot about people, a lot more than I had ever learned in school. Both good and bad..admittedly..mostly bad but still useful to know. Across the years many of you have come to me with your sorrows and your joys alike and I am honored to have been a part of your own experience. Many fans and fellow roleplayers expressed their admiration either in private or in public and I still feel undeserving. I was just being myself really, albeit with a deliberate intention of doing so in the spirit of the woman I admire. Thanks for all the kind words, the love and support. Whether it was Chae you liked or the person behind her, either way, know that YOU helped shape CLUNDRGRND. Never thought she would become so popular but she did. I am always thankful for those that bothered with my muse. Again, it's been real. Thanks for the memories and before I go.. Yes, I retired with the ring for most accurate CL rper ever and that's an uncontested fact haha.
Below you will find Chaerin's Epilogue, the end to her story. You'll also find a link to my personal blog in the event that you find yourself thinking of me or need help in any way. Fuck it, follow it if you just wanna keep tabs too. I welcome you all!

CL the K Rap powerhouse was alive and well. After touring the globe with the female supergroup 2NE1, she went on to become a household name all on her own as a solo artist and then as a producer/composer for YG Entertainment. The winner of several musical honors, both American and Korean, CL stayed true to her colors mixing modern electro with her classic Hip Hop roots. She remains a fashion icon to the next generation of young women looking to break out of the timid, obedient stigma that pained CL as an Asian woman. Many regard her as a mentor, someone to look up to and guide them towards their own personal successes.

As for Chaerin Lee, life had been a little rough. After the failure of her first marriage and the relationship she held after it, she was left with a pained heart and disillusioned perspective. Work took over most of her time and as a result, she achieved professional success. Personally however, she still felt inadequate. When she wasnt working she was enjoying time with her little one, Jinho. Raising him was her most passionate endeavor and she devoted her life entirely to his well being. It wasn't until Jinho had turned 3 years old that Chaerin found a man capable of giving her what her secret heart wished for.

The answer seemed obvious enough to anyone who witnessed the natural chemistry between the two. To anyone except the two in question. Somewhere between the laughs, playful smacks on the arm and hushed whispers in the dark, she found a home in him. Her friend and peer for many years slowly but surely became the man she wanted to spend the rest of her life beside.

Little did she know, the feelings were mutual. After realizing he didn't have many people he could trust, Jiyong started to think about the women in his life. The constant that popped up was Chaerin. The fierce woman with a baby. Wanting to know more, he spent more time with her and they got to know each other better than before. Forget the sister brother relationship, he wanted for their fingers being tangled together to mean something. It didnt't take him long to plan out his confession, scribbled lyrics on his wall to the only muse he now had through good and bad. He wanted to do it old school so he grabbed a boom box, transferred the track into a cassete and stood outside her window, raising his arms and pressing play, allowing himself the luxury of communicating his feelings the only way he knew how; music.

Chaerin was startled at the view outside her window and she had to physically rub her eyes a few times before she believed that her best friend, her closest confidant was there before her eyes playing a song carefully composed just for her. With a small laugh and hands over her warmed cheeks, she received him at the door with a look in her eyes that let him know he was the sun and moon to her. He looked back at her with a sureness that elimated all potential question or apprehension that could ever get in the way of their love. It was a done deal. He now had all of her person in his posession and she had his complicated heart, something she would nurture and never let go of.

He could feel it in the pit of his stomach, the urge to make what was in front of him his. Whether it was early mornings, holding her hands and pulling her closer for a goodbye kiss as he headed to the studio. Or her smiles as she offered to cook for them that night. Her indepence flourishing not only on stage but in their personal lives as well. Gradually, Jiyong would spend most days in her home rather than his. And as two years went by, he realized, with the help of Jinho, what he wanted after all. "Will you marry my mommy?" A question out of the blue as Jiyong read a book to him before bed. "All the other kids moms are married..." Would he marry Chaerin? An unquestionable yes fighting its way out of his chest. Yes. Yes.

In the background their song played, a special release with a special theme. Chaerin only believed it was a feature for an upcoming YG Family concert, after all they still participated during those not letting the younger generation shine too much. Little did she know that at the end of their stage as he recited the last line he would get down on one knee, the brightest ring that best suited her nestled in a velvet box. "Stay with me forever."

Chaerin was stunned into silence, something that never happened. Her hands flew to cover her expression of mixed shock and delight. Tears welled in her eyes and she let slip a laugh, finding it unbelievable that she could be that lucky. The bangs of hair that hung across her forehead shook in that adorable fashion her fans and Jiyong came to love as she nodded her head, squealed yes into the microphone and sealed their fate as one. Right on cue,her little cub Jinho came out holding a bouquet of flowers too large for his frame but he delivered them to his mother successfully anyway, proud for having his own part in the momentous occasion. The crowd erupted into roars of approval as he slipped the ring onto her finger and stood to catch her body as she flew into his arms. She trembled against him with excitement and despite the noise, managed to whisper a warm, "I love you" into his ear.

Finally, the wedding day came and the year of planning every painstaking detail was going to be worth it. Everything would be perfect. It was time to give herself entirely to the man that made her better, that made her radiate happiness every day of her life. The scene was set in Kuta, Bali. Jiyong's choice. The aisle leading her towards her soon to be husband was lluminated by candles and under the hum of the music, she could still hear the sounds of waves crashing on the shore beneath her. The luxury hotel chosen to host the joining of the two had gone out their way to ensure the best possible setup that Bali had to offer. Two cabanas on either side of the aisle with sheer curtains for walls and the sunset as the backdrop, the entire atmosphere was ethereal, calm and serene. A long balcony stretched between the cabanas and offered a priceless view of the sunset and the waves gently brushing against the mountains in the distance. That's where the wedding would take place. Chaerin's dress looked as radiant as she felt. The long, tight sleeves were of sheer material so the skin of her arms and chest glowed beneath it. A heart shaped neckline for the torso and a tight, knee-length bodice gave way to a flourish of a wider, feathered-out skirt, highlighting the feminine figure she was so proud of. Not to be outdone, Jiyong himself looked spectacular in a well tailored white suit that constrasted sharply with the dark of his hair. Always a fashionista, he kept his ear piercings in but he wouldn't be Jiyong without something a little extra. He was also sporting a new tattoo on his finger; Chaerin and Jinho's birthdates in roman numerals, as an early wedding gift for his new family. As Chaerin's father delivered her to Jiyong, she shed a proud tear watching her father and Jiyong shake hands and then give each other a tight hug before the ceremony officially began.
"You told me a while ago, that we would free style our vows... That's not happening," Jiyong laughed and shook his head. "If we did, there would be no end, no winner, no tie. And, baby, I don't know about you but I'm eager to seal our life long bond with you. Who would have thought that the rising star G-Dragon, would find solace in the arms of a dorky girl with front bangs practicing for her success as well. That their meeting, full of potential and attempted confident smiles would blossom into an unforgetable love? It's the way you smile, the way you say 'you know' in English about fifty times while trying to make a point. It's hidden in your fierce eyes that melt away any inhibitions when we're together. It's your strength, even during hard times you and I never thought you would live through. It's through the fall out you've had, and the promise that this time it'll last. I want to make promises to you but those mean nothing, you know that every morning when I wake next to you I'll have the vow in my mind to protect you and Jinho. And at the end of the day, that will be all that will matter. Because after tonight the three of us will be one, and looking forward to a future isn't that bad. Through the years I've lost touch of the things that made me shine when I was younger, my modesty, patience, hard work. It was all too tiresome, yet now, here, in front of you, my body is fueled up with passion. This won't be an ordinary life, you are too extraordinary for that, from the moment we kiss, to the moment we die, with you I'll ride."

"Ah, oppa. And here I was thinking our vows were going to be a rap battle this whole time. Now what will I do with the bars I've already got written up hm?" She paused to allow herself a small laugh and then held Jiyong's hands just a little tighter than before. "I was just a little girl with a ridiculous dream when we first met. Years later, we had become G-Dragon and CL along the way but never for a minute did I believe that the Jingyo and Hunchae who shared stolen nachos on the dance room floor and laughed through the dawn had melted into superstars with nothing but schedules and endless worries. It was an open secret to everyone but you and I that we were crazy about each other. I chased you endlessly just to poke fun at your age or new hair color. In reality, what I so desperately chased was the comfort I found in you. The way I knew you were deep in thought when the corner of your lips twitched upward and the way I could tell when you were stressed by the way you tapped a pen on the nearest surface. You were someone I knew better than I knew myself. I was so sure about you and I that i'm surprised it took us this long to admit it. I can't remember what my life was like without you. You're my knight in shining Givenchy, my reason to be. Everything i do, it's all in your name, Jiyong. You and Jinho have made me grow into a person I never thought I could be. I can lay my body to rest at night and feel at peace with myself and the world because I know that you love me. And the way that you do, makes me want to be better for you, for Jinho, for myself. You breathe new life into me, make me want to conquer every day that comes our way and vanquish the battles that come along as well. Who knew that my best friend would become the biggest source of light and truth in my life? For as long as I live, Jiyong..I want to devote all that I am to you, all that i have to give, all i can possibly offer, all of it..for you. I'll take that ride with you, baby. You and i, we'll show the world what love's supposed to be like. We'll leave our mark here on earth together, and beyond the skies to forever, I'll be the one to hold your hand, always".
Three years of blissful married life later, Jiyong and Chaerin were celebrating Jinho's 5th birthday. Chaerin was only a few months pregnant with she and Jiyong's first child and decided to deliver the news through Jinho. Jinho picked up one of the many colorfully wrapped gift boxes and read the tag on it, handing it over to Jiyong with shouts of excitement. "This one is for you, hyung!". Inside the box lay some screws, a hammer and instructions on how to put together a baby crib. A note attached to the front of the instructions read: Hope you can retire the mic long enough to put together this baby crib for cub #2, he's coming to get you! As unique as Chaerin was, Jiyong never expected to receive news with such an adorable statement. If he was honest with himself, he had not even seen signs of a possible pregnancy. "It's a he?" was his first question with a grin, knowing that there was no possible way to know yet judging by her still flat stomach. A bite to his quivering lip, smiling through a few happy tears, wrapping her up in his arms. He was going to be a dad.

The power couple gave birth to a healthy baby boy, named Jiyong after his father. Two years later came a baby girl named Sojin. The family was tight knit and enjoyed many of the finer things in life, thanks to the hard work they put in to YG as producers, songwriters and composers. Chaerin was content living the life of a housewife and mother but Jiyong did miss the stage and had impossible urges to perform. To compromise, the couple did still participate in YG Family concerts, reminding the world and the rookies just who was still the reigning King and Queen of YG. Besides the music world, the couple founded multiple charities together to keep music programs in schools and fight world hunger and disease. They also went on to establish their own fashion line, first in Korea and Japan then branching out worldwide. Their daughter Sojin, became the face of the brand when she turned twenty and assisted her parents in designing the collections, proving a business savvy that earned her the inheritance of the business. Jinho grew to inherit his father's rap career and became the leader of a YG idol group at age 19. By the age of 30, Jinho had established his own hip-hop record label with the help of his stepfather Jiyong. He married Haru, Tablo's daughter after his military service. The middle child, Jiyong, was the only of the three to attend and graduate college. The way the name seemed to carry an air of endless possibilities itself, Jiyong grew to be an inventor. With sleek, minimalistic designs he set new challenges in the worlds of science and technology. A surprise to both his parents whom would often wonder just exactly where those genes had been hidden. Through determination he created his own company from scratch, declining help from them and built an empire worthy of world wide recognition. When asked about his reluctance and slight input in the robotics department he would mumble about his father telling him horror stories featuring them.

Jiyong and Chaerin raised their children and nurtured their professional endeavors together tirelessly. They loved each other without fault and remained true to their vow; til death do us part.
